BECA presented during the e3SoHo final event in Brussels

The European project e3SoHo invited BECA among other representatives of European projects to share achievements on the final e3SoHo event on 18 September 2013 in Brussels.

The aim and main results of BECA were presented to an audience including mainly social housing representatives, technical partners and Carmen Ifrim, representative of the European Commission, DG Connect. For BECA it was an opportunity to share the lessons learned and to compare results with similar projects.

BECA appears as one of the first steps toward a bigger picture: energy efficiency in Europe through ICT. Both EU representative and speakers insisted on future projects and application of the technologies and knowledge developed during the BECA project and other initiatives. Housing will be a key part in the smart city and smart districts of tomorrow. Technologies that were used for the BECA project will be a key asset to involve consumers in the control of their energy consumption and to connect housing and mobility with clean energy.
