Belgrade meeting on Serbian national news

September 2012| The meeting in Belgrade focused on user recruitment, evaluation and viability assessment. During the meeting the consortium visited the headquarters of BeoElek, with over 300.000 customers and 820MW one of the largest district heating providers in Europe. The consortium was followed by camera team visiting one of the pilot buildings in the East of Belgrade.

Valentino Markovic, president of the tenant association, stated the importance of the BECA service for the tenants. In Serbia, tenants of each building are organised in associations and the president speaks as a representative for all tenants with utilities and other companies. Costs for energy being a major topic in Serbia the media attention for BECA should help to raise awareness and the chance to save energy with ICT services.
