Project meeting in Turin - 29 January 2013

On 29 January 2013, a project meeting with all BECA project partners will take place in Turin, Italy. Within this framework, the consortium reviews the accomplishments of the second year of the project.

A state of the art of the project will be presented, especially regarding the status of every pilot site after the end of pilot implementation (WP5) and the beginning of the heating period in November 2012 which marked the start of operation of systems. This is particularly challenging in Turin:

"In fact the pilot site consists of three different buildings and three different ways to meter and evaluate consumption. The buildings MOI and Spina 3 set the "beginning" of the smart urban plan of Turin. The launch of the new planning grid of Turin happened in 2006 for the Winter Olympics and MOI and Spina 3 are two successful examples of new neighbourhoods", Paola Leto from the project partner ATC explains in an interview which can be found here.
